V5-tag

The V5-tag is a polypeptide isolated from the P and V proteins of simian virus 5 (SV5), consisting of residues 95 to 108, and the amino acid sequence is GKPIPNPLLGLDST. V5-tag is often fused to the N-terminal or C-terminal of target protein for analysis, identification and purification of target protein.

Usage and Biology

We fused it to the C-terminal of MazF (BBa_ K302033) protein for analysis, identification and purification. In order to terminate the transcription, we added TAA sequence to the C-terminal of V5-tag.
